FAQs

Why did my peanut butter blossoms go flat? ›

Why are my peanut butter blossoms flat? If you do not chill your dough before baking, the cookies will spread and look flat.

Why are my peanut butter blossoms dry? ›

If your peanut butter blossoms are dry, it's because you have too much flour or too little liquid (or a combo of both!). I honestly also think that too many peanut butter blossom recipes are dry as written; that is why I took extreme care to make sure this recipe produces moist, chewy peanut butter blossom cookies.

What is Baskin Robbins peanut butter blossom? ›

Perfectly paired with classics like decadent Chocolate Fudge and timeless Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Blossom features sweet and salty peanut butter ice cream, chocolate chips, peanut butter chocolate chip cookie dough pieces, and rich fudge swirls.

What to use instead of Hershey's Kisses? ›

Use peanut butter cups: Instead of Hershey's kisses, feel free to press Reese's mini peanut butter cups (or any brand of pb cups that you love best) into the centers of your cookies.

What happens if you don't flatten peanut butter cookies? ›

If you don't flatten the cookies first, then the fork does double duty – it performs both functions. One very subtle result of creating the pattern is that the little tips of dough bake up crisper than the rest of the cookie, giving you both a bit of additional texture and deeper taste where the dough is more baked.

Why do my peanut butter cookies not taste like peanut butter? ›

The most common mistake with peanut butter cookies is using the wrong type of peanut butter. The BEST peanut butter for today's cookies is a processed creamy peanut butter, preferably Jif or Skippy.

Why use a fork on peanut butter cookies? ›

These early recipes do not explain why the advice is given to use a fork, though. The reason is that peanut butter cookie dough is dense, and unpressed, each cookie will not cook evenly. Using a fork to press the dough is a convenience of tool; bakers can also use a cookie shovel (spatula).

Why are my peanut butter balls sticky? ›

If your butter was too soft or if the peanut butter you're using is too thin, the filling can get a little soft and sticky as you're rolling. The refrigerator can fix that—stop what you're doing and chill the bowl of filling for 15 minutes in the refrigerator before trying again to roll into balls.

Why is my homemade peanut butter not creamy? ›

If your homemade peanut butter is not creamy, it is likely due to not blending the peanuts long enough. Try blending for a few more minutes or adding a small amount of oil to help make it creamier.

What is Baskin-Robbins most popular flavor? ›

The top 5 selling Baskin-Robbins ice cream flavors are Vanilla, Chocolate, Mint Chocolate Chip, Pralines 'n Cream and Chocolate Chip. Jamoca® Almond Fudge ice cream was first developed to be made from coffee brewed on the premises of each of the fifteen manufacturing facilities.

What did Baskin-Robbins used to be called? ›

It wasn until 1953 that the ice cream chain dropped the separate identities of Snowbird and Burton and became Baskin-Robbins. A local advertising agency, Carson/Roberts, advised a uniform identity and image under the name Baskin-Robbins 31 Ice Cream.

What Flavours did Baskin-Robbins discontinued? ›

Baskin Robbins Apple Pie A La Mode

Although this pie-inspired flavor had reasonable success, it quickly went into the "Deep Freeze" of flavorful favorites, never to be seen in stores again. Baskin Robbins' "Deep Freeze" of discontinued flavors also includes Boston Creme Pie, Fluffernut, and Root Beer Float.

What is the paper strip in Hershey's Kisses called? ›

A narrow strip of paper, called a plume, sticks out from the top of each Hershey's Kiss wrapper. Originally designed as a flag for the "Hershey's" brand, the printed paper plumes were added to the Kisses product wrapper in 1921 to distinguish the Hershey's Kiss from its competitors who were offering similar products.

What are the little paper in Hershey Kisses called? ›

What do you call the paper flag or tag that sticks out from the top of the KISSES Chocolate foil wrapper? That parchment paper strip is called a “plume”. Originally the paper plumes were also referred to as identification tags, possibly because they looked like miniature brand flags.

Why do Hershey's Kisses taste so good? ›

Hershey's has a delicious, unique taste because of the farm fresh milk that is used! HERSHEY'S Milk Chocolate is one of the only milk chocolate brands in the world that still uses fresh milk in its production, giving it a distinctive taste.

How do you keep peanut butter cookies from flattening? ›

Use a silicone baking mat or parchment paper. Coating your baking sheet with nonstick spray or butter creates an overly greasy foundation, causing the cookies to spread. I always recommend a silicone baking mat because they grip onto the bottom of your cookie dough, preventing the cookies from spreading too much.

How do you keep peanut butter cookies from going flat? ›

To get those perfect cookies every time that don't go too flat, you want room temperature butter. Room temperature butter is especially important during the creaming process of making your cookie dough in order to trap air. Room temperature butter should be about 68-70oF.

How do you keep peanut butter firm? ›

It's quite simple actually. All you have to do is store the peanut butter jar upside-down in the fridge. Once you're ready to spread or scoop just flip the jar over, open it, and scoop—no stirring required!

Why did my peanut butter cookies crumble? ›

If you're wanting to use natural (no sugar added) peanut butter, the cookies will be less sweet and they will likely spread out more. Using natural peanut butter will change the structure and texture of the cookies. Why are my cookies dry and crumbly? This is most likely a classic case of using too much flour.
